Verse 8

Then Mephibosheth bowed and said,“Of what importance am I, your servant, that you show regard for a dead dog like me?”

2 Sam 16:9 : 9 Then Abishai son of Zeruiah said to the king,“Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over and cut off his head!”
Matt 15:26-27 : 26 “It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs,” he said. 27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied,“but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.”
1 Sam 24:14-15 : 14 Who has the king of Israel come out after? Who is it that you are pursuing? A dead dog? A single flea? 15 May the LORD be our judge and arbiter. May he see and arbitrate my case and deliver me from your hands!”
1 Sam 26:20 : 20 Now don’t let my blood fall to the ground away from the LORD’s presence, for the king of Israel has gone out to look for a flea the way one looks for a partridge in the hill country.”
2 Sam 3:8 : 8 These words of Ish-bosheth really angered Abner and he said,“Am I the head of a dog that belongs to Judah? This very day I am demonstrating loyalty to the house of Saul your father and to his relatives and his friends! I have not betrayed you into the hand of David. Yet you have accused me of sinning with this woman today!
