Or who among you has planted a vineyard and not benefited from it? He may go home, lest he die in battle and someone else benefit from it.

You will build a house but not live in it. You will plant a vineyard but not even begin to use it.
• Isa 65:22 : 22 No longer will they build a house only to have another live in it, or plant a vineyard only to have another eat its fruit, for my people will live as long as trees, and my chosen ones will enjoy to the fullest what they have produced.
• Jer 31:5 : 5 Once again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria. Those who plant them will once again enjoy their fruit.
• Zeph 1:13 : 13 Their wealth will be stolen and their houses ruined! They will not live in the houses they have built, nor will they drink the wine from the vineyards they have planted.
