Verse 21

The LORD said to Moses,“Go down and solemnly warn the people, lest they force their way through to the LORD to look, and many of them perish.

1 Sam 6:19 : 19 But the LORD struck down some of the people of Beth Shemesh because they had looked into the ark of the LORD; he struck down 50,070 of the men. The people grieved because the LORD had struck the people with a hard blow.
Exod 3:5 : 5 God said,“Do not approach any closer! Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”
Exod 19:12-13 : 12 You must set boundaries for the people all around, saying,‘Take heed to yourselves not to go up on the mountain nor touch its edge. Whoever touches the mountain will surely be put to death! 13 No hand will touch him– but he will surely be stoned or shot through, whether a beast or a human being; he must not live.’ When the ram’s horn sounds a long blast they may go up on the mountain.”
Exod 33:20 : 20 But he added,“You cannot see my face, for no one can see me and live.”
Eccl 5:1 : 1 Rash Vows(4:17) Be careful what you do when you go to the temple of God; draw near to listen rather than to offer a sacrifice like fools, for they do not realize that they are doing wrong.
Heb 12:28-29 : 28 So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe. 29 For our God is indeed a devouring fire.
