Verse 18

Since Jacob had fallen in love with Rachel, he said,“I’ll serve you seven years in exchange for your younger daughter Rachel.”

Exod 22:16-17 : 16 Moral and Ceremonial Laws“If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged and goes to bed with her, he must surely pay the marriage price for her to be his wife. 17 If her father refuses to give her to him, he must pay money for the bride price of virgins.
Gen 31:41 : 41 This was my lot for twenty years in your house: I worked like a slave for you– fourteen years for your two daughters and six years for your flocks, but you changed my wages ten times!
Gen 34:12 : 12 You can make the bride price and the gift I must bring very expensive, and I’ll give whatever you ask of me. Just give me the young woman as my wife!”
Gen 29:20 : 20 So Jacob worked for seven years to acquire Rachel. But they seemed like only a few days to him because his love for her was so great.
Gen 29:30 : 30 Jacob slept with Rachel as well. He also loved Rachel more than Leah. Then he worked for Laban for seven more years.
2 Sam 3:14 : 14 David sent messengers to Ish-bosheth son of Saul with this demand:“Give me my wife Michal whom I acquired for a hundred Philistine foreskins.”
