Verse 7

He built an altar there and named the place El Bethel because there God had revealed himself to him when he was fleeing from his brother.

Gen 35:1 : 1 The Return to Bethel Then God said to Jacob,“Go up at once to Bethel and live there. Make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”
Gen 35:3 : 3 Let us go up at once to Bethel. Then I will make an altar there to God, who responded to me in my time of distress and has been with me wherever I went.”
Gen 28:13 : 13 and the LORD stood at its top. He said,“I am the LORD, the God of your grandfather Abraham and the God of your father Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the ground you are lying on.
Gen 28:19 : 19 He called that place Bethel, although the former name of the town was Luz.

Exod 17:15 : 15 Moses built an altar, and he called it“The LORD is my Banner,”
Judg 6:24 : 24 Gideon built an altar for the LORD there, and named it“The LORD is on friendly terms with me.” To this day it is still there in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
Eccl 5:4-5 : 4 When you make a vow to God, do not delay in paying it. For God takes no pleasure in fools: Pay what you vow! 5 It is better for you not to vow than to vow and not pay it.
Ezek 48:35 : 35 The circumference of the city will be six miles. The name of the city from that day forward will be:‘The LORD Is There.’”
