Verse 12

But Ahaz responded,“I don’t want to ask; I don’t want to put the LORD to a test.”

Deut 6:16 : 16 Exhortation to Obey the Lord Exclusively You must not put the LORD your God to the test as you did at Massah.
2 Kgs 16:15 : 15 King Ahaz ordered Uriah the priest,“On the large altar offer the morning burnt sacrifice, the evening grain offering, the royal burnt sacrifices and grain offering, the burnt sacrifice for all the people of the land, their grain offering, and their libations. Sprinkle all the blood of the burnt sacrifice and other sacrifices on it. The bronze altar will be for my personal use.”
2 Chr 28:22 : 22 During his time of trouble King Ahaz was even more unfaithful to the LORD.
Ezek 33:31 : 31 They come to you in crowds, and they sit in front of you as my people. They hear your words, but do not obey them. For they talk lustfully, and their heart is set on their own advantage.
Mal 3:15 : 15 So now we consider the arrogant to be happy; indeed, those who practice evil are successful. In fact, those who challenge God escape!’”
Acts 5:9 : 9 Peter then told her,“Why have you agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look! The feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out!”
1 Cor 10:9 : 9 And let us not put Christ to the test, as some of them did, and were destroyed by snakes.
