Verse 11

For,’ I say,‘just as shorts cling tightly to a person’s body, so I bound the whole nation of Israel and the whole nation of Judah tightly to me.’ I intended for them to be my special people and to bring me fame, honor, and praise. But they would not obey me.

Ps 135:4 : 4 Indeed, the LORD has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel to be his special possession.

John 5:37-40 : 37 And the Father who sent me has himself testified about me. 1 Pet 2:9 : 9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
