Verse 7

So God sent a worm at dawn the next day, and it attacked the little plant so that it dried up.

Joel 1:12 : 12 The vine has dried up; the fig tree languishes– the pomegranate, date, and apple as well. In fact, all the trees of the field have dried up. Indeed, the joy of the people has dried up!
Job 1:21 : 21 He said,“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return there. The LORD gives, and the LORD takes away. May the name of the LORD be blessed!”
Ps 30:6-7 : 6 In my self-confidence I said,“I will never be shaken.” 7 O LORD, in your good favor you made me secure. Then you rejected me and I was terrified.
Ps 90:5-6 : 5 You bring their lives to an end and they“fall asleep.” In the morning they are like the grass that sprouts up; 6 in the morning it glistens and sprouts up; at evening time it withers and dries up.
Ps 102:10 : 10 because of your anger and raging fury. Indeed, you pick me up and throw me away.
Isa 40:6-8 : 6 A voice says,“Cry out!” Another asks,“What should I cry out?” The first voice responds:“All people are like grass, and all their promises are like the flowers in the field. 7 The grass dries up, the flowers wither, when the wind sent by the LORD blows on them. Surely humanity is like grass. 8 The grass dries up, the flowers wither, but the decree of our God is forever reliable.”
