Verse 21

Then his son said to him,‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

Ps 51:4 : 4 Against you– you above all– I have sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight. So you are just when you confront me; you are right when you condemn me.
Luke 15:18-19 : 18 I will get up and go to my father and say to him,“Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired workers.”’
1 Cor 8:12 : 12 If you sin against your brothers or sisters in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.
