Verse 68

But he denied it:“I don’t even understand what you’re talking about!” Then he went out to the gateway, and a rooster crowed.

Matt 26:71-72 : 71 When he went out to the gateway, another slave girl saw him and said to the people there,“This man was with Jesus the Nazarene.” 72 He denied it again with an oath,“I do not know the man!”
Mark 14:29-31 : 29 Peter said to him,“Even if they all fall away, I will not!” 30 Jesus said to him,“I tell you the truth, today– this very night– before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” 31 But Peter insisted emphatically,“Even if I must die with you, I will never deny you.” And all of them said the same thing.
Mark 14:72 : 72 Immediately a rooster crowed a second time. Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said to him:“Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” And he broke down and wept.
John 13:36-38 : 36 Simon Peter said to him,“Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied,“Where I am going, you cannot follow me now, but you will follow later.” 37 Peter said to him,“Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you!” 38 Jesus answered,“Will you lay down your life for me? I tell you the solemn truth, the rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times!
2 Tim 2:12-13 : 12 If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us. 13 If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, since he cannot deny himself.
