For what does it benefit a person if he gains the whole world but forfeits his life? Or what can a person give in exchange for his life?

Job 27:8 : 8 For what hope does the godless have when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?
Luke 12:20 : 20 But God said to him,‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded back from you, but who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
Mark 8:36-37 : 36 For what benefit is it for a person to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his life? 37 What can a person give in exchange for his life?
