Verse 13

A joyful heart makes the face cheerful, but by a painful heart the spirit is broken.

Prov 17:22 : 22 A cheerful heart brings good healing, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Prov 18:14 : 14 A person’s spirit sustains him through sickness– but who can bear a crushed spirit?
Prov 12:25 : 25 Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs him down, but an encouraging word brings him joy.
Prov 15:15 : 15 All the days of the afflicted are bad, but one with a cheerful heart has a continual feast.
Neh 2:2 : 2 So the king said to me,“Why do you appear to be depressed when you aren’t sick? What can this be other than sadness of heart?” This made me very fearful.
