Verse 8

It is better to take shelter in the LORD than to trust in people.

Ps 40:4 : 4 How blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD and does not seek help from the proud or from liars!
Jer 17:5-7 : 5 Individuals Are Challenged to Put Their Trust in the Lord The LORD says,“I will put a curse on people who trust in mere human beings, who depend on mere flesh and blood for their strength, and whose hearts have turned away from the LORD. 6 They will be like a shrub in the arid rift valley. They will not experience good things even when they happen. It will be as though they were growing in the stony wastes in the wilderness, in a salt land where no one can live. 7 My blessing is on those people who trust in me, who put their confidence in me.
Ps 62:8-9 : 8 Trust in him at all times, you people! Pour out your hearts before him! God is our shelter!(Selah) 9 Men are nothing but a mere breath; human beings are unreliable. When they are weighed in the scales, all of them together are lighter than air.
Mic 7:5-7 : 5 Do not rely on a friend; do not trust a companion! Even with the one who lies in your arms, do not share secrets! 6 For a son thinks his father is a fool, a daughter challenges her mother, and a daughter-in-law her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are his own family. 7 But I will keep watching for the LORD; I will wait for the God who delivers me. My God will listen to me.
