Verse 2

Examine me, O LORD, and test me! Evaluate my inner thoughts and motives!

Ps 7:9 : 9 May the evil deeds of the wicked come to an end! But make the innocent secure, O righteous God, you who examine inner thoughts and motives!
Ps 17:3 : 3 You have scrutinized my inner motives; you have examined me during the night. You have carefully evaluated me, but you find no sin. I am determined I will say nothing sinful.
Ps 66:10 : 10 For you, O God, tested us; you purified us like refined silver.
Ps 139:23-24 : 23 Examine me, O God, and probe my thoughts! Test me, and know my concerns! 24 See if there is any idolatrous way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way!
Jer 20:12 : 12 O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, you test and prove the righteous. You see into people’s hearts and minds. Pay them back for what they have done because I trust you to vindicate my cause.
Zech 13:9 : 9 Then I will bring the remaining third into the fire; I will refine them like silver is refined and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name and I will answer; I will say,‘These are my people,’ and they will say,‘The LORD is my God.’”
Job 13:23 : 23 How many are my iniquities and sins? Show me my transgression and my sin.
Job 31:4-6 : 4 Does he not see my ways and count all my steps? 5 If I have walked in falsehood, and if my foot has hastened to deceit– 6 let him weigh me with honest scales; then God will discover my integrity.
