¶ Rob not the poor, because he [is] poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:

  • Prov 23:10-11 : 10 ¶ Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless: 11 For their redeemer [is] mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee.
  • Ezek 22:29 : 29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
