but coulde not finde what to do. For all the people stacke by him and gave him audience.

Matt 22:15-16 : 15 Then wet the Pharises and toke counsell how they might tagle him in his wordes. 16 And they sent vnto him their disciples with Herodes servauntes sayinge: Master we knowe yt thou are true and teachest the waye of god trulie nether carest for eny man for thou consydrest not menes estate.
Luke 20:19-20 : 19 And the hye Prestes and the Scribes the same howre went about to laye hondes on him but they feared the people. For they perceaved that he had spoken this similitude agaynst them. 20 And they watched him and sent forth spies which shuld fayne them selves perfecte to take him in his wordes and to delyvre him vnto the power and auctorite of the debite.
