Verse 5

For though there are things that are called "gods," whether in the heavens or on earth; as there are many "gods" and many "lords;"

2 Thess 2:4 : 4 he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself up as God.
Deut 10:17 : 17 For Yahweh your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn't respect persons, nor takes reward.
Jer 2:11 : 11 Has a nation changed [its] gods, which really are no gods? But my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit.
