Verse 17

For it is better, if it is God's will, that you suffer for doing well than for doing evil.

1 Pet 2:15 : 15 For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
1 Pet 2:20 : 20 For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God.
1 Pet 3:14 : 14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. "Don't fear what they fear, neither be troubled."
1 Pet 4:19 : 19 Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator.
Matt 26:39 : 39 He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire."
Matt 26:42 : 42 Again, a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, "My Father, if this cup can't pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done."
Acts 21:14 : 14 When he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, "The Lord's will be done."
1 Pet 4:15 : 15 For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil doer, or a meddler in other men's matters.
