Verse 5

(but if a man doesn't know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the assembly of God?)

1 Sam 3:13 : 13 For I have told him that I will judge his house forever, for the iniquity which he knew, because his sons brought a curse on themselves, and he didn't restrain them.
1 Tim 3:15 : 15 but if I wait long, that you may know how men ought to behave themselves in the house of God, which is the assembly of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
1 Sam 2:29-30 : 29 Why do you kick at my sacrifice and at my offering, which I have commanded in [my] habitation, and honor your sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel my people?' 30 "Therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, 'I said indeed that your house, and the house of your father, should walk before me forever.' 1 Cor 10:32 : 32 Give no occasions for stumbling, either to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the assembly of God;
Eph 1:22 : 22 He put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the assembly,
