Verse 12

Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

1 Thess 4:11 : 11 and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you;
Eph 4:28 : 28 Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.
2 Thess 3:8 : 8 neither did we eat bread from anyone's hand without paying for it, but in labor and travail worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you;
1 Tim 2:2 : 2 for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.

Gen 49:14-15 : 14 "Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between the saddlebags. 15 He saw a resting place, that it was good, the land, that it was pleasant. He bows his shoulder to the burden, and becomes a servant doing forced labor.
Prov 17:1 : 1 Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife.
Eccl 4:6 : 6 Better is a handful, with quietness, than two handfuls with labor and chasing after wind.
Luke 11:3 : 3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
