Verse 23

It shall be to them as a false divination in their sight, who have sworn oaths to them; but he brings iniquity to memory, that they may be taken.

2 Chr 36:13 : 13 He also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning to Yahweh, the God of Israel.
Isa 28:14-15 : 14 Therefore hear the word of Yahweh, you scoffers, that rule this people in Jerusalem: 15 "Because you have said, 'We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol are we in agreement. Ezek 11:3 : 3 who say, [The time] is not near to build houses: this [city] is the caldron, and we are the flesh.
