Verse 12

But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, neither will I tempt Yahweh."

Deut 6:16 : 16 You shall not tempt Yahweh your God, as you tempted him in Massah.
2 Kgs 16:15 : 15 King Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, "On the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meal offering, and the king's burnt offering, and his meal offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meal offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle on it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice; but the bronze altar shall be for me to inquire by."
2 Chr 28:22 : 22 In the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against Yahweh, this same king Ahaz.
