Verse 23

Jesus answered him, "If I have spoken evil, testify of the evil; but if well, why do you beat me?"

Matt 5:39 : 39 But I tell you, don't resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Acts 23:2-5 : 2 The high priest, Ananias, commanded those who stood by him to strike him on the mouth. 3 Then Paul said to him, "God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you sit to judge me according to the law, and command me to be struck contrary to the law?" 4 Those who stood by said, "Do you malign God's high priest?" 5 Paul said, "I didn't know, brothers, that he was high priest. For it is written, 'You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.'"
2 Cor 10:1 : 1 Now I Paul, myself, entreat you by the humility and gentleness of Christ; I who in your presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you.
1 Pet 2:20-23 : 20 For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God. 21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps, 22 who did not sin, "neither was deceit found in his mouth." 23 Who, when he was cursed, didn't curse back. When he suffered, didn't threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously;
