Verse 12

Jesus answering, said to him, "It has been said, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'"

Deut 6:16 : 16 You shall not tempt Yahweh your God, as you tempted him in Massah.
Ps 95:9 : 9 when your fathers tempted me, tested me, and saw my work.
Ps 106:14 : 14 but gave in to craving in the desert, and tested God in the wasteland.
Mal 3:15 : 15 Now we call the proud happy; yes, those who work wickedness are built up; yes, they tempt God, and escape.'
Matt 4:7 : 7 Jesus said to him, "Again, it is written, 'You shall not test the Lord, your God.'"
1 Cor 10:9 : 9 Neither let us test the Lord, as some of them tested, and perished by the serpents.
Heb 3:8-9 : 8 don't harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness, 9 where your fathers tested me by proving me, and saw my works for forty years.
