Verse 5

Moses brought their cause before Yahweh.

Exod 18:15-19 : 15 Moses said to his father-in-law, "Because the people come to me to inquire of God. 16 When they have a matter, they come to me, and I judge between a man and his neighbor, and I make them know the statutes of God, and his laws." 17 Moses' father-in-law said to him, "The thing that you do is not good. 18 You will surely wear away, both you, and this people that is with you; for the thing is too heavy for you. You are not able to perform it yourself alone. 19 Listen now to my voice. I will give you counsel, and God be with you. You represent the people before God, and bring the causes to God.
Exod 25:22 : 22 There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the testimony, all that I command you for the children of Israel.
Lev 24:12-13 : 12 They put him in custody, until the will of Yahweh should be declared to them. 13 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
Num 9:8 : 8 Moses answered them, "Wait, that I may hear what Yahweh will command concerning you."
Num 15:34 : 34 They put him in custody, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.
Job 23:4 : 4 I would set my cause in order before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
Prov 3:5-6 : 5 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
