Verse 17

He who loves pleasure shall be a poor man. He who loves wine and oil shall not be rich.

Prov 23:21 : 21 for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags.
Prov 21:20 : 20 There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man swallows it up.

Luke 15:13-16 : 13 Not many days after, the younger son gathered all of this together and traveled into a far country. There he wasted his property with riotous living. 14 When he had spent all of it, there arose a severe famine in that country, and he began to be in need. 15 He went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed pigs. 16 He wanted to fill his belly with the husks that the pigs ate, but no one gave him any.
Luke 16:24-25 : 24 He cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.' 25 "But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But now here he is comforted and you are in anguish.
