"Two things I have asked of you; don't deny me before I die:

2 Kgs 2:9 : 9 It happened, when they had gone over, that Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you." Elisha said, "Please let a double portion of your spirit be on me."
Ps 27:4 : 4 One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of Yahweh all the days of my life, to see Yahweh's beauty, and to inquire in his temple.
Luke 10:42 : 42 but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her."
Ps 21:2 : 2 You have given him his heart's desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.
1 Kgs 3:5-9 : 5 In Gibeon Yahweh appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, "Ask what I shall give you." 6 Solomon said, "You have shown to your servant David my father great loving kindness, according as he walked before you in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you. You have kept for him this great loving kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 Now, Yahweh my God, you have made your servant king instead of David my father. I am but a little child. I don't know how to go out or come in. 8 Your servant is in the midst of your people which you have chosen, a great people, that can't be numbered nor counted for multitude. 9 Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this your great people?"
