As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.

Prov 3:11-12 : 11 My son, don't despise Yahweh's discipline, neither be weary of his reproof: 12 for whom Yahweh loves, he reproves; even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.
Jer 31:18 : 18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself [thus], You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a calf unaccustomed [to the yoke]: turn me, and I shall be turned; for you are Yahweh my God.
