Verse 5

It happened, as soon as the kingdom was established in his hand, that he killed his servants who had slain the king his father:

Gen 9:6 : 6 Whoever sheds man's blood, by man will his blood be shed, for in the image of God made he man.
Exod 21:12-14 : 12 "One who strikes a man so that he dies shall surely be put to death, 13 but not if it is unintentional, but God allows it to happen: then I will appoint you a place where he shall flee. 14 If a man schemes and comes presumptuously on his neighbor to kill him, you shall take him from my altar, that he may die.
Num 35:33 : 33 So you shall not pollute the land in which you are: for blood, it pollutes the land; and no expiation can be made for the land for the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him who shed it.
2 Kgs 12:20-21 : 20 His servants arose, and made a conspiracy, and struck Joash at the house of Millo, [on the way] that goes down to Silla. 21 For Jozacar the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, struck him, and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Amaziah his son reigned in his place.
2 Chr 25:3-4 : 3 Now it happened, when the kingdom was established to him, that he killed his servants who had killed the king his father. 4 But he didn't put their children to death, but did according to that which is written in the law in the book of Moses, as Yahweh commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers; but every man shall die for his own sin.
