Verse 29

Moses fled at this saying, and became a stranger in the land of Midian, where he became the father of two sons.

He gave Moses Zipporah, his daughter. 22 She bore a son, and he named him Gershom,{"Gershom" sounds like the Hebrew for "an alien there."} for he said, "I have lived as a foreigner in a foreign land."
• Exod 4:19-20 : 19 Yahweh said to Moses in Midian, "Go, return into Egypt; for all the men who sought your life are dead." 20 Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them on a donkey, and he returned to the land of Egypt. Moses took God's rod in his hand.
• Exod 18:2-4 : 2 Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, received Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her away, 3 and her two sons. The name of one son was Gershom,{"Gershom" sounds like the Hebrew for "an alien there."} for Moses said, "I have lived as a foreigner in a foreign land". 4 The name of the other was Eliezer,{Eliezer means "God is my helper."} for he said, "My father's God was my help and delivered me from Pharaoh's sword."
