Verse 20

Those who remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil in the midst of you.

Deut 17:13 : 13 All the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously.
Deut 21:21 : 21 All the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones: so shall you put away the evil from the midst of you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
Deut 13:11 : 11 All Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall not do any more such wickedness as this is in the midst of you.
Deut 17:7 : 7 The hand of the witnesses shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. So you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.
Prov 21:11 : 11 When the mocker is punished, the simple gains wisdom; When the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.
Rom 13:3-4 : 3 For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same, 4 for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn't bear the sword in vain; for he is a minister of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil.
