Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they would do according to this promise. 13 Also I shook out my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labor, that doesn't perform this promise; even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. All the assembly said, Amen, and praised Yahweh. The people did according to this promise.
Ps 106:30-33 : 30 Then Phinehas stood up, and executed judgment, So the plague was stopped. 31 That was credited to him for righteousness, For all generations to come. 32 They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, So that Moses was troubled for their sakes; 33 Because they were rebellious against his spirit, He spoke rashly with his lips.
Exod 11:8 : 8 All these your servants shall come down to me, and bow down themselves to me, saying, 'Get out, and all the people who follow you; and after that I will go out.'" He went out from Pharaoh in hot anger.

Num 25:7-9 : 7 When Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from the midst of the congregation, and took a spear in his hand; 8 and he went after the man of Israel into the pavilion, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her body. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel. 9 Those who died by the plague were twenty-four thousand. 10 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, in that he was jealous with my jealousy among them, so that I didn't consume the children of Israel in my jealousy.
Exod 32:21-22 : 21 Moses said to Aaron, "What did these people do to you, that you have brought a great sin on them?" 22 Aaron said, "Don't let the anger of my lord grow hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.
Prov 25:23 : 23 The north wind brings forth rain: So a backbiting tongue brings an angry face.
