Verse 13

The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but he shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like the whirling dust before the storm.

Isa 31:8-9 : 8 The Assyrian shall fall by the sword, not of man; and the sword, not of men, shall devour him; and he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall become subject to forced labor. 9 His rock shall pass away by reason of terror, and his princes shall be dismayed at the ensign, says Yahweh, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

Isa 33:9-9 : 9 The land mourns and languishes; Lebanon is confounded and withers away; Sharon is like a desert; and Bashan and Carmel shake off [their leaves]. 10 Now will I arise, says Yahweh; now will I lift up myself; now will I be exalted. 11 You shall conceive chaff, you shall bring forth stubble: your breath is a fire that shall devour you. 12 The peoples shall be as the burning of lime, as thorns cut down, that are burned in the fire.

The zeal of Yahweh of Hosts will perform this. 33 Therefore thus says Yahweh concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come to this city, nor shoot an arrow there, neither shall he come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it. 34 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and he shall not come to this city, says Yahweh. 35 For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake. 36 The angel of Yahweh went forth, and struck in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies. 37 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and lived at Nineveh. 38 It happened, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons struck him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. Esar Haddon his son reigned in his place.
Dan 2:35 : 35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken in pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that no place was found for them: and the stone that struck the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
Hos 13:3 : 3 Therefore they will be like the morning cloud, And like the dew that passes away early, Like the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing floor, And like the smoke out of the chimney.

Ps 83:13-15 : 13 My God, make them like tumbleweed; Like chaff before the wind. 14 As the fire that burns the forest, As the flame that sets the mountains on fire, 15 So pursue them with your tempest, And terrify them with your storm.
