The deeps were congealed in the heart of the sea. 9 The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil. My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.' 10 You blew with your wind. The sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters. 11 Who is like you, Yahweh, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? 12 You stretched out your right hand. The earth swallowed them. 13 "You, in your loving kindness, have led the people that you have redeemed. You have guided them in your strength to your holy habitation. 14 The peoples have heard. They tremble. Pangs have taken hold on the inhabitants of Philistia. 15 Then the chiefs of Edom were dismayed. Trembling takes hold of the mighty men of Moab. All the inhabitants of Canaan are melted away. 16 Terror and dread falls on them. By the greatness of your arm they are as still as a stone; Until your people pass over, Yahweh, Until the people pass over who you have purchased. 17 You shall bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of your inheritance, The place, Yahweh, which you have made for yourself to dwell in; The sanctuary, Lord, which your hands have established. 18 Yahweh shall reign forever and ever." 19 For the horses of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and Yahweh brought back the waters of the sea on them; but the children of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea. 20 Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dances. 21 Miriam answered them, "Sing to Yahweh, for he has triumphed gloriously: The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea."
Deut 32:39 : 39 See now that I, even I, am he, There is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; There is none who can deliver out of my hand.
Judg 5:1-9 : 1 Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying, 2 For that the leaders took the lead in Israel, For that the people offered themselves willingly, Bless you Yahweh. 3 Hear, you kings; give ear, you princes; I, [even] I, will sing to Yahweh; I will sing praise to Yahweh, the God of Israel. 4 Yahweh, when you went forth out of Seir, When you marched out of the field of Edom, The earth trembled, the sky also dropped, Yes, the clouds dropped water. 5 The mountains quaked at the presence of Yahweh, Even yon Sinai at the presence of Yahweh, the God of Israel. 6 In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, In the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, The travelers walked through byways. 7 The rulers ceased in Israel, they ceased, Until that I Deborah arose, That I arose a mother in Israel. 8 They chose new gods; Then was war in the gates: Was there a shield or spear seen Among forty thousand in Israel? 9 My heart is toward the governors of Israel, Who offered themselves willingly among the people: Bless you Yahweh. 10 Tell [of it], you who ride on white donkeys, You who sit on rich carpets, You who walk by the way. 11 Far from the noise of archers, in the places of drawing water, There shall they rehearse the righteous acts of Yahweh, [Even] the righteous acts of his rule in Israel. Then the people of Yahweh went down to the gates. 12 Awake, awake, Deborah; Awake, awake, utter a song: Arise, Barak, and lead away your captives, you son of Abinoam. 13 Then came down a remnant of the nobles [and] the people; Yahweh came down for me against the mighty. 14 Out of Ephraim [came down] they whose root is in Amalek; After you, Benjamin, among your peoples; Out of Machir came down governors, Out of Zebulun those who handle the marshal's staff. 15 The princes of Issachar were with Deborah; As was Issachar, so was Barak; Into the valley they rushed forth at his feet. By the watercourses of Reuben There were great resolves of heart. 16 Why sat you among the sheepfolds, To hear the whistling for the flocks? At the watercourses of Reuben There were great searchings of heart. 17 Gilead abode beyond the Jordan: Dan, why did he remain in ships? Asher sat still at the haven of the sea, Abode by his creeks. 18 Zebulun was a people that jeopardized their lives to the death, Naphtali, on the high places of the field. 19 The kings came and fought; Then fought the kings of Canaan. In Taanach by the waters of Megiddo: They took no gain of money. 20 From the sky the stars fought, From their courses they fought against Sisera. 21 The river Kishon swept them away, That ancient river, the river Kishon. My soul, march on with strength. 22 Then did the horse hoofs stamp By reason of the prancings, the prancings of their strong ones. 23 Curse you Meroz, said the angel of Yahweh. Curse you bitterly the inhabitants of it, Because they didn't come to the help of Yahweh, To the help of Yahweh against the mighty. 24 Blessed above women shall Jael be, The wife of Heber the Kenite; Blessed shall she be above women in the tent. 25 He asked water, [and] she gave him milk; She brought him butter in a lordly dish. 26 She put her hand to the tent-pin, Her right hand to the workmen's hammer; With the hammer she struck Sisera, she struck through his head; Yes, she pierced and struck through his temples. 27 At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay; At her feet he bowed, he fell; Where he bowed, there he fell down dead. 28 Through the window she looked forth, and cried, The mother of Sisera [cried] through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why do the wheels of his chariots wait? 29 Her wise ladies answered her, Yes, she returned answer to herself, 30 Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil? A lady, two ladies to every man; To Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, A spoil of dyed garments embroidered, Of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the spoil? 31 So let all your enemies perish, Yahweh: But let those who love him be as the sun when he goes forth in his might. The land had rest forty years.
1 Sam 2:1-9 : 1 Hannah prayed, and said: My heart exults in Yahweh; My horn is exalted in Yahweh; My mouth is enlarged over my enemies; Because I rejoice in your salvation. 2 There is none holy as Yahweh; For there is none besides you, Neither is there any rock like our God. 3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; Don't let arrogance come out of your mouth; For Yahweh is a God of knowledge, By him actions are weighed. 4 The bows of the mighty men are broken; Those who stumbled are girded with strength. 5 Those who were full have hired out themselves for bread; Those who were hungry have ceased [to hunger]: Yes, the barren has borne seven; She who has many children languishes. 6 Yahweh kills, and makes alive: He brings down to Sheol, and brings up. 7 Yahweh makes poor, and makes rich: He brings low, he also lifts up. 8 He raises up the poor out of the dust, He lifts up the needy from the dunghill, To make them sit with princes, Inherit the throne of glory: For the pillars of the earth are Yahweh's, He has set the world on them. 9 He will keep the feet of his holy ones; But the wicked shall be put to silence in darkness; For by strength shall no man prevail. 10 Those who strive with Yahweh shall be broken to pieces; Against them will he thunder in the sky: Yahweh will judge the ends of the earth; He will give strength to his king, Exalt the horn of his anointed.
2 Chr 29:30 : 30 Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praises to Yahweh with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. They sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshiped.
Job 5:18 : 18 For he wounds, and binds up; He injures, and his hands make whole.
Ps 18:1 : 1 > I love you, Yahweh, my strength.
Ps 30:11-12 : 11 You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness, 12 To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
Ps 107:17-22 : 17 Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, And because of their iniquities. 18 Their soul abhors all kinds of food. They draw near to the gates of death. 19 Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, He saves them out of their distresses. 20 He sends his word, and heals them, And delivers them from their graves. 21 Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, For his wonderful works to the children of men! 22 Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with singing.
Ps 116:1-4 : 1 I love Yahweh, because he listens to my voice, And my cries for mercy. 2 Because he has turned his ear to me, Therefore I will call on him as long as I live. 3 The cords of death surrounded me, The pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow. 4 Then called I on the name of Yahweh: "Yahweh, I beg you, deliver my soul."
Ps 118:18-19 : 18 Yah has punished me severely, But he has not given me over to death. 19 Open to me the gates of righteousness. I will enter into them. I will give thanks to Yah.
Isa 12:1-6 : 1 In that day you will say, "I will give thanks to you, Yahweh; for though you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you comfort me. 2 Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Yah, Yahweh, is my strength and song; and he has become my salvation." 3 Therefore with joy you shall draw water out of the wells of salvation. 4 In that day you will say, "Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name. Declare his doings among the peoples. Proclaim that his name is exalted! 5 Sing to Yahweh, for he has done excellent things! Let this be known in all the earth! 6 Cry aloud and shout, you inhabitant of Zion; for great in the midst of you is the Holy One of Israel!"
Hos 6:1-2 : 1 "Come, and let us return to Yahweh; For he has torn us to pieces, And he will heal us; He has injured us, And he will bind up our wounds. 2 After two days will he revive us. On the third day he will raise us up, And we will live before him.
Jonah 2:1-9 : 1 Then Jonah prayed to Yahweh, his God, out of the fish's belly. 2 He said, "I called because of my affliction to Yahweh. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice. 3 For you threw me into the depths, In the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me. 4 I said, 'I have been banished from your sight; Yet I will look again toward your holy temple.' 5 The waters surrounded me, Even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head. 6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever: Yet have you brought up my life from the pit, Yahweh my God. 7 "When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Yahweh. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple. 8 Those who regard lying vanities forsake their own mercy. 9 But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to Yahweh."
