Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming on you.

Luke 16:19-25 : 19 "Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day. 20 A certain beggar, named Lazarus, was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21 and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table. Luke 23:28-29 : 28 But Jesus, turning to them, said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, don't weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29 For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.'

It shall consume that which is left in his tent. 27 The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, The earth shall rise up against him. 28 The increase of his house shall depart; They shall rush away in the day of his wrath. 29 This is the portion of a wicked man from God, The heritage appointed to him by God."
Ps 17:14 : 14 From men by your hand, Yahweh, From men of the world, whose portion is in this life. You fill the belly of your cherished ones. Your sons have plenty, And they store up wealth for their children.
Ps 49:6-9 : 6 Those who trust in their wealth, And boast in the multitude of their riches-- 7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, Nor give God a ransom for him. 8 For the redemption of their life is costly, No payment is ever enough, 9 That he should live on forever, That he should not see corruption. 10 For he sees that wise men die; Likewise the fool and the senseless perish, And leave their wealth to others. 11 Their inward thought is that their houses will endure forever, And their dwelling places to all generations. They name their lands after themselves. 12 But man, despite his riches, doesn't endure. He is like the animals that perish. 13 This is the destiny of those who are foolish, And of those who approve their sayings. Selah. 14 They are appointed as a flock for Sheol. Death shall be their shepherd. The upright shall have dominion over them in the morning. Their beauty shall decay in Sheol, Far from their mansion. 15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, For he will receive me. Selah. 16 Don't be afraid when a man is made rich, When the glory of his house is increased. 17 For when he dies he shall carry nothing away. His glory shall not descend after him. 18 Though while he lived he blessed his soul-- And men praise you when you do well for yourself-- 19 He shall go to the generation of his fathers. They shall never see the light. 20 A man who has riches without understanding, Is like the animals that perish.
Ps 73:3-9 : 3 For I was envious of the arrogant, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 For there are no struggles in their death, But their strength is firm. 5 They are free from burdens of men, Neither are they plagued like other men. 6 Therefore pride is like a chain around their neck. Violence covers them like a garment. 7 Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit. 8 They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression. 9 They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.
Ps 73:18-20 : 18 Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction. 19 How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors. 20 As a dream when one wakes up, So, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.
Prov 11:4 : 4 Riches don't profit in the day of wrath, But righteousness delivers from death.
