Verse 12

Then the disciples came, and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?"

1 Kgs 22:13-14 : 13 The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, See now, the words of the prophets [declare] good to the king with one mouth: please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak you good. 14 Micaiah said, As Yahweh lives, what Yahweh says to me, that will I speak.
Matt 17:27 : 27 But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the first fish that comes up. When you have opened its mouth, you will find a stater coin.{A stater is a silver coin equivalent to four Attic or two Alexandrian drachmas, or a Jewish shekel: just exactly enough to cover the half-shekel Temple Tax for two people.} Take that, and give it to them for me and you."
1 Cor 10:32-33 : 32 Give no occasions for stumbling, either to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the assembly of God; 33 even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.
2 Cor 6:3 : 3 We give no occasion of stumbling in anything, that our service may not be blamed,
Gal 2:5 : 5 to whom we gave no place in the way of subjection, not for an hour, that the truth of the Gospel might continue with you.
Jas 3:17 : 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
