Verse 4

The mixed multitude that was among them lusted exceedingly: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

Exod 12:38 : 38 A mixed multitude went up also with them, with flocks, herds, and even very much cattle.

Ps 78:18-20 : 18 They tempted God in their heart By asking food according to their desire. 19 Yes, they spoke against God. They said, "Can God prepare a table in the wilderness? 20 Behold, he struck the rock, so that waters gushed out, Streams overflowed. Can he give bread also? Will he provide flesh for his people?"
