Verse 17

He sent a man before them. Joseph was sold for a slave.

Acts 7:9 : 9 "The patriarchs, moved with jealousy against Joseph, sold him into Egypt. God was with him,
Gen 37:36 : 36 The Midianites sold him into Egypt to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, the captain of the guard.
Gen 50:20 : 20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive.
Gen 37:27-28 : 27 Come, and let's sell him to the Ishmaelites, and not let our hand be on him; for he is our brother, our flesh." His brothers listened to him. 28 Midianites who were merchants passed by, and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver. They brought Joseph into Egypt.
Gen 39:1 : 1 Joseph was brought down to Egypt. Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, the captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the hand of the Ishmaelites that had brought him down there.
Gen 45:4-5 : 4 Joseph said to his brothers, "Come near to me, please." They came near. "He said, I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. 5 Now don't be grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life.
Gen 45:7-8 : 7 God sent me before you to preserve you a remnant in the earth, and to save you alive by a great deliverance. 8 So now it wasn't you who sent me here, but God, and he has made me a father to Pharaoh, lord of all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.
