Verse 8

It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, Than to put confidence in man.

Ps 40:4 : 4 Blessed is the man who makes Yahweh his trust, And doesn't respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Jer 17:5-7 : 5 Thus says Yahweh: Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh. 6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited. 7 Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose trust Yahweh is.
Ps 62:8-9 : 8 Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah. 9 Surely men of low degree are just a breath, And men of high degree are a lie. In the balances they will go up. They are together lighter than a breath.
Mic 7:5-7 : 5 Don't trust in a neighbor. Don't put confidence in a friend. With the woman lying in your embrace, Be careful of the words of your mouth! 6 For the son dishonors the father, The daughter rises up against her mother, The daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; A man's enemies are the men of his own house. 7 But as for me, I will look to Yahweh. I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.
