And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, `Let me choose, I pray thee, twelve thousand men, and I arise and pursue after David to-night,

Ps 3:3-5 : 3 And Thou, O Jehovah, `art' a shield for me, My honour, and lifter up of my head. 4 My voice `is' unto Jehovah: I call: And He answereth me from his holy hill, Selah. 5 I -- I have lain down, and I sleep, I have waked, for Jehovah sustaineth me.
Ps 4:8 : 8 In peace together I lie down and sleep, For Thou, O Jehovah, alone, In confidence dost cause me to dwell!
Ps 109:2-4 : 2 For the mouth of wickedness, and the mouth of deceit, Against me they have opened, They have spoken with me -- A tongue of falsehood, and words of hatred! 3 They have compassed me about, And they fight me without cause. 4 For my love they oppose me, and I -- prayer!
Prov 4:16 : 16 For they sleep not if they do not evil, And their sleep hath been taken violently away, If they cause not `some' to stumble.
Isa 59:7-8 : 7 Their feet to evil do run, And they haste to shed innocent blood, Their thoughts `are' thoughts of iniquity, Spoiling and destruction `are' in their highways. 8 A way of peace they have not known, And there is no judgment in their paths, Their paths they have made perverse for themselves, No treader in it hath known peace.
