በምድር ላይ ከሰዎች ሁሉ ከኤኖክ በስተቀር ከሁሉ የረዘመ እርሱ ነበር፤ ይህም በጽድቁ ምክንያት ነበር፤ በጽድቁም ፍጹም ነበር። የኤኖክ ሥራ ደግሞ ለዘላለም ትውልድ ምስክር እንዲሆን ተፈጥሮ ነበር፤ የፍርድ ቀን ሲመጣ እስከዚያ በትውልድ ከትውልድ የሚደረጉትን ሥራዎች ሁሉ እንዲያመለክት ዘንድ።
