ያዕቆብ የምስር ክት ሲያብስ ነበር፤ ኤሳው ከሜዳ ተርሞ መጣ፤ ለወንድሙ ለያዕቆብ፣ “ከዚች የስንዴ ክት አስገባኝ” አለው። ያዕቆብ ግን፣ “የበኵርነትህን መብት አስቀድሞ ስጠኝ፤ ከዚያ ምግብና ከዚህ ክት እሰጥህ” አለው።
