ወር መጀመሪያ ቀን ያዕቆብ ለቤተ ሰቡ ሁሉ እንዲህ አለ፦ “ንጹሑ፣ ልብሳችሁንም ቀይሩ፤ እንነሳ ወደ ቤቴል እንሂድ፤ በዚያ ከወንድሜ ዔሳው ፊት ሸሽቴ በነበርሁ ቀን ለእርሱ ስእለት አድርጌ ነበር፤ ከእኔ ጋር የነበረውና ወደዚች ምድር በሰላም የመለሰኝ እርሱ ነው። በመካከላችሁ ያሉ የእንግዳ አማልክትን አውጡ።”
