    21እንዲህም አሉአቸው፦ እግዚአብሔር ወደ እናንተ ይመለከት ይፍረድም፤ ሽታችንን በፈርዖንና በአገልጋዮቹ ዘንድ እንዲጠላ አድርጋችኋል፤ እንድያስወግዱን ሰይፍ በእጃቸው እንዲኖር አድርጋችሁ.

    6በዚያው ቀንም ፈርዖን ለሕዝቡ ሥራ አለቆችና ለአስተዳዳሪዎቻቸው እንዲህ ትእዛዝ ሰጠ፦

    7ከእንግዲህ በኋላ እንደ ቀድሞ ሕዝቡን ገለባ ለጡብ ማድረግ አትስጡ፤ እነርሱ ራሳቸው ይሂዱ ገለባ ይሰብስቡ.

    8ነገር ግን እስከ አሁን ያደረጉትን የጡብ መጠን በላያቸው ትጫኑት፤ ከእርሱም አታቀንሱም፤ ሥራ የማይሠሩ ሆነዋል ስለዚህ እንሂድ ለአምላካችን መሥዋዕት እናቀርብ ብለው ይጮኻሉ.

    9ለሰዎቹ ተጨማሪ ሥራ ተጫንባቸው እንዲሰሩበት፤ የከንቱ ቃልንም አይመለከቱ.

    10ሕዝቡ ሥራ አለቆችና አስተዳዳሪዎቻቸውም ወጥተው ሕዝቡን እንዲህ አሉ፦ ፈርዖን እንዲህ ይላል፤ ገለባ አልሰጣችሁም.

    11ሂዱ፣ የምታገኙበት ቦታ ሁሉ ገለባ አግኙ፤ ነገር ግን ከሥራችሁ አንዳች አይቀንስ.

    12ሕዝቡም በግብጽ ምድር ሁሉ ተበታተኑ ገለባ ፈንታ ቅንጣት ለመሰብሰብ.

    13ሥራ አለቆችም ቸኩሏቸው እንዲህ አሉ፦ የዕለታችሁን መጠን ሥራ ፈጽሙ፥ ገለባ እንዳለ ጊዜ እንደ ነበረው.
