Sihon, king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon, ruled from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Valley, including the middle of the valley and half of Gilead, as far as the Jabbok River, the border of the Ammonites.

And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah:

Og, king of Bashan, one of the last of the Rephaim, who lived in Ashtaroth and Edrei,

And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,

ruled Mount Hermon, Salcah, all of Bashan, up to the borders of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and half of Gilead, up to the border of Sihon, king of Heshbon.

And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.

Moses, the servant of the Lord, and the Israelites defeated them. And Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave their land as an inheritance to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh.
