Verse 1
A song, a psalm of David.
O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
Verse 2
My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing, I will make music with my whole being.
Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
Verse 3
Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
Verse 4
I will praise you, LORD, among the peoples; I will sing of you among the nations.
For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
Verse 5
For your steadfast love is great above the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
Verse 6
Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and let your glory be over all the earth.
That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
Verse 7
So that your beloved ones may be delivered, save with your right hand and answer me!
God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
Verse 8
God has spoken in his holiness: 'I will exult; I will divide Shechem and measure out the Valley of Succoth.'
Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
Verse 9
Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet for my head, Judah is my scepter.
Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
Verse 10
Moab is my washbasin; over Edom I cast my sandal; over Philistia I will shout in triumph.
Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
Verse 11
Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me as far as Edom?
Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?
Verse 12
Have you not rejected us, O God? Do you not march out with our armies, O God?
Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
Verse 13
Give us help against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless.
Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
Verse 14
Through God we shall do valiantly; it is He who will trample our enemies.
