Verse 1
For the choirmaster. A song of the sons of Korah, set to soprano voices.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Verse 2
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Verse 3
Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth changes, and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea.
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
Verse 4
Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake with their surging. Selah.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
Verse 5
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling places of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
Verse 6
God is within her, she will not be moved; God will help her at the break of dawn.
The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
Verse 7
Nations rage, kingdoms totter; He lifts His voice, the earth melts.
The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Verse 8
The LORD of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.
Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
Verse 9
Come, see the works of the LORD, who has brought desolation upon the earth.
He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
Verse 10
He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; He breaks the bow, cuts the spear in two, and burns the chariots with fire.
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Verse 11
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
