= town, also known as {L:Rabbah of the Ammonites<SDBH:רַב>}, ◄ and located in Ammon; ► capital of the Ammonite kingdom, first conquered by {L:Israel<SDBH:יִשְׂרָאֵל>} on their way from {L:Egypt<SDBH:מִצְרַיִם>}, and later again by {L:David<SDBH:דָּוִד>}
