3For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but so to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith.
4For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office:
5so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and severally members one of another.
6And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, whether prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of our faith;
7or ministry, [let us give ourselves] to our ministry; or he that teacheth, to his teaching;
25that there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.
26And whether one member suffereth, all the members suffer with it; or [one] member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof.
28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, [divers] kinds of tongues.
29Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all [workers of] miracles?
30have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
12So also ye, since ye are zealous of spiritual [gifts], seek that ye may abound unto the edifying of the church.
31For ye all can prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be exhorted;
32and the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets;
14For the body is not one member, but many.
1Follow after love; yet desire earnestly spiritual [gifts], but rather that ye may prophesy.
2For he that speaketh in a tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God; for no man understandeth; but in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
3But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men edification, and exhortation, and consolation.
1Now concerning spiritual [gifts], brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
5Now I would have you all speak with tongues, but rather that ye should prophesy: and greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
6But now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophesying, or of teaching?
4God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders, and by manifold powers, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will.
12for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:
18But now hath God set the members each one of them in the body, even as it pleased him.
19And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20But now they are many members, but one body.
