16But arise, and stand upon thy feet: for to this end have I appeared unto thee, to appoint thee a minister and a witness both of the things wherein thou hast seen me, and of the things wherein I will appear unto thee;
17delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom I send thee,
18yea and before governors and kings shall ye be brought for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
19Wherefore, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
21And they said unto him, We neither received letters from Judaea concerning thee, nor did any of the brethren come hither and report or speak any harm of thee.

12And when we heard these things, both we and they of that place besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.
9But take ye heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in synagogues shall ye be beaten; and before governors and kings shall ye stand for my sake, for a testimony unto them.
